Our Community garden is a unique opportunity for consumers to explore healthy living and lifestyles while, at the same time, giving back to the community. Clients from the Mental Health Association of Essex and Morris and NewBridge Services take the lead and tend our garden once a week during the summer months to nourish and cultivate the vegetables and flowers they grow. Participants gain a sense of responsibility and independence through the therapeutic benefits of horticultural care. They also have an opportunity to help others as all produce is donated to the Interfaith Food Pantry, going to families in need.
