Understanding Bipolar Disorder and Depression: Biological Basis, Symptoms, Treatment Options, and Recovery

February 6 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Bipolar disorder, depression, and other affective disorders are often misunderstood. People suffering from a mood disorder can’t just “Snap out of it.” Understanding the biological basis of these disorders can help individuals and their loved ones access the appropriate treatment, and learn to cope.

Participants will learn about the etiology, symptoms, medication, and treatment options for bipolar disorder and depression.

Questions and discussion will be encouraged in a stigma free environment.

RSVPs are encouraged.
Drop-ins are welcome.

This program is provided free of charge by IFSS, Intensive Family Support Services, a state funded program which provides counseling, support, and education for family members, friends, and caregivers of people with mental illness.
