Qualifications: Masters in Social Work or Counseling with an professional license as LCSW or LPC are required. Experience in providing psychotherapy. A genuine desire for forensic clinical services and a comfort in moving about within the county jail system.

Responsibilities: Provides individual counseling services for adults involved in the criminal justice system. Conduct clinical evaluations and determine whether the consumers are eligible for the Morris County Prosecutors Mental Health Diversion program. Conduct the evaluation to assess or where appropriate render a mental health diagnosis to determine whether the consumer is clinically and case management appropriate and what if any, services the consumer can be linked with. Completes mental health assessments and evaluations within the county jail. Screen and complete intake assessments for new clients. Connect clients with community resources and referral, as needed. Draft and maintain treatment plans with consumers. Coordinate treatment plans with Program Director and Forensic Case Managers. Must meet all expected productivity levels  in regard to direct service provision to consumers. Record keeping as required by funding sources through the electronical clinical record software and/or accreditation agencies. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director
